Slow Burn

Slow Burn

Origin Info

There's something magnetic about a fire in full blaze. And there's another kind of beauty in what comes after: the quiet hours by the embers, warmth without the roar, energy that just keeps giving. Our new half caff blend is built for that second fire. Steady from the first sip to the last.

Flat white, iced coffee on a scorcher, a cheeky 5pm espresso or a big jug of filter, however you take it, there's no crashing out at the end. Only a Slow Burn.

The Story

The foundation is our Colombia Sugarcane Decaf (EA) from our partners and friends at PROCAAL in Nariño, the same cooperative that's been supplying our BS1 espresso for over ten years now. We're excited to showcase their coffee here in a different light. For a little more body, slight touch of acidity and a gentle spiciness, we bring in washed Papua New Guinea from a collective of smallholders in the Simbu region, via the locally owned Kongo Coffee. To round out the blend, a sprinkle of natural Uganda Muki Fruity from the Coffee Yard Project, a high altitude Nyasaland variety that adds a touch of booziness and tropical fruit, just enough to make you linger over the last sip.
